In the September 25 running of the $55,050 Illinois Cavalier for state bred two-year-olds, Serenity Stable's Cuchulainn's Honor led every step of the way for Donnie Meche, drawing off late to win by 4-1/4 lengths as the 8-5 favorite in the field of nine.

"We had a good trip," Meche said. "He was kind in the gate and left out of there real sharp. He found a comfortable stride in the lane and just found another gear."

"We knew this was a horse of quality before we even ran him," said winning trainer Eddie Kenneally. "I have two other half siblings to him. Rocky's Red Glare is a nice Allowance three-year-old for us, and Helensgonnaexplode won an allowance race on the grass for us at Arlington a couple of years ago."
