BUSHFIRE came away running and showed sharp speed from the outside, rated kindly while allowing TEAMMATE to post the middle fractions, took over from that rival after three quarters, turned back a run from READY TO PLEASE in upper stretch, drew clear when roused then dug in resolutely and held off PINE ISLAND under a drive. PINE ISLAND was unhurried early, advanced inside on the turn, came wide approaching the stretch, angled back to the inside in upper stretch and finished gamely on the rail. READY TO PLEASE bobbled at the start, bumped with SHE'S EXCELLENT after the start, raced close up outside, put in a three wide run nearing the stretch and stayed on stubbornly outside. LEMONS FOREVER was outrun early, raced between rivals and had no response when roused. TEAMMATE ducked in at the start, stumbled, was hustled up inside, set the pace for three quarters and tired in the stretch. SHE'S EXCELLENT bumped with READY TO PLEASE after the start, dropped back early, raced inside and had no response when roused. JOINT EFFORT raced close up outside, was four wide on the turn and tired after the opening three quarters. |
