| Race Summary |
|---|
BOGANGLES settled early three or four wide, moved four wide when advancing
nearing the final quarter, wrested command entering the upper stretch and drew
off under energetic hand urging. CABOS gained the lead early, raced two or three
wide, held a slight edge to the stretch and was no match for BOGANGLES in the
drive as second best. VALID CHIEF pressed front-running CABOS four wide to the
stretch and weakened. MASBUT (CHI), outrun for six furlongs and six wide on the
far turn, improved position but never menaced. TURN TO THE PRINCE settled in
behind the leaders, was asked for his best midway on the far turn but flattened
out when straightened for the drive. ROGER WILCO, four or five wide, tired after
six furlongs. LEJOS angled inside early and never was a factor. APPLE KRISP
tracked the pace five wide to the far turn and wakened thereafter. SKIP THE WAY
raced forwardly between foes four wide for nearly a half and tired.
