2/12/04 - "What Shiloh Bound has done for Ken Heppermann, his four partners and Louisville-based trainer Walter Bindner isn't the stuff of plans but of dreams. If the bay gelding, a son of the Mr. Prospector stallion Cat's Career, runs well in Sunday's Grade III Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds, the dreams could include the $600,000 Louisiana Derby..."

SHILOH BOUND LANDS FIRST CAREER STAKES WIN IN BLACK GOLD HANDICAP !

Sent off at odds of 15.90-to-1 despite being undefeated in his first two career starts, Shiloh Bound quickly grabbed the lead and fought off a game Bachelor Blues in the stretch to earn a half-length win in the $60,000 Black Gold Handicap on Saturday at Fair Grounds. Making his first turf start and first try at two turns, Twin Lanterns Racing Stables’ Shiloh Bound, who was collared by runner-up Bachelor Blues in early stretch before securing the victory, improved to three-for-three and earned the first stakes win of his career. Shiloh Bound was listed as reserve not attained on a final bid of $13,000 at the 2002 Keeneland September yearling sale in the consignment of Four Star Sales, agent. He sold for $13,000 to Ronald Cauthen from consignor Brereton Jones, agent, at the 2001 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.
